CBT is a form of psychological therapy that focusses on the links between thoughts, emotions, physical experiences and behaviour. It helps identify and change unhelpful thinking and behaviour patterns that contribute to emotional difficulties. It is used to treat common mental health problems including depression, anxiety and stress and can help with emotional problems and worry associated with work or relationships.
I am a CBT therapist accredited with the BABCP and have experience of working for the NHS and with university students. I also have a small private practice offering appointments at either Quay Place in Ipswich, or in my own consulting room near Diss. I mainly see adults over the age of 18 and have experience of treating people with depression and a wide range of anxiety disorders including OCD and PTSD.
